When Craftech Corporation re-engaged with CMTC for their second project, they were originally seeking assistance with long-term strategic planning. However, when COVID-19 hit, Craftech realized that they needed to pivot and instead focus on a new way to sell and maintain communication with their clients. CMTC worked with Craftech to help them redesign and optimize their website as well as develop targeted email marketing campaigns. With CMTC’s support, Craftech was able to gain a competitive edge and generate more business. Click here to view the video testimonial!
California State Emergency Program (CSEP)
The State of California is providing a cash-incentive program encouraging large energy users to cut down their electricity consumption to reduce demand on the electric grid and prevent rolling blackouts during heatwaves. The program’s purpose is to help mitigate the accelerating and compounding effects of continued wildfires, on-going drought, and extreme heat conditions that California is facing. Your business or organization may be eligible to receive incentives of $2 per reduced kilowatt-hour.
CMTC recently engaged with Creative Electron, an x-ray system manufacturer, to deliver Lean Manufacturing Training in an effort to increase throughput and improve the organization’s teamwork and collaboration. From January to March 2021, CMTC provided virtual and on-site training to help Creative Electron create a Lean culture within its production team. The Lean Concepts training and implementation project was designed to improve communication and team skills and to build awareness of Lean principles and basic Lean tools. CMTC facilitated a successful implementation of improvements with input from the team. The Lean training resulted in improved teamwork and collaboration, amore organized shop floor, and improved business and manufacturing workflows for the Creative Electron production team. Creative Electron forecasts adding two new employees, retaining 15 employees, saving $15,000 in labor costs, and avoiding unnecessary investments of $200,000 over the next 12 months.

Evolve Your Supply Chain Management to Be More Strategic
The pandemic sent numerous shock waves through the world of small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMMs), and perhaps the most lasting have been disruptions and changes in the global supply chain. Among those uncertainties is when, or even if, the supply chain will return to its previous level of stability.
Previously, we have discussed some differentially private algorithms and implementation bugs which can cause these algorithms to fail to protect privacy in practice. Previous posts have described two ways of addressing this problem: automated testing and manual proofs. In this post, we examine a third option: automatic proof. Automatic proof tools for differential privacy analyze the program and attempt to build a proof that the program satisfies differential privacy.
