Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) Group Introductory Workshops
Beginning July 1, 2024, California law (SB 553) will require employers with 10 or more employees to adopt a comprehensive Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP). This new law imposes specific requirements on employers, including: recording incidents or threats in a violent incident log, providing training to all employees, and maintaining records related to the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan.
To help California manufacturers achieve compliance before the July 1st deadline, CMTC is offering interactive WVPP Group Introductory Workshops for only $150 throughout May and June. CMTC has secured state fundingto provide workplace literacy training to help California workers and employers. The impact of improving English proficiency is far-reaching. Providing employees with ongoing education and training leads to increased productivity, communication, collaboration, and employee retention.
For a limited time, funding is available to eligible manufacturers to train employees in: Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL), Basic Math, and Digital Literacy.
Limited-Time Cybersecurity Funding for A&D Manufacturers
As with AS9100, your Systems Security Plan (SSP), Incident Reporting Plan (IRP), and SPRS Score should be reviewed annually to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
