UC Riverside received a $900,000 CARES Act grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) to bolster the region’s ability to withstand future economic disruptions. As a part of this grant, UCR has partnered with CMTC to make Robotics & Automation Assessments available at no cost to 50 manufacturers located in the counties of Riverside and San Bernardino. Industrial Assessment Center Implementation Grant Program
CMTC recently provided strategic planning assistance to Southern California machine shop Powers Bros. Machine to help the company grow its business. Over the course of several months, CMTC provided strategic planning assistance to help Powers Bros. General Manager Casey Powers identify high-level organizational goals and then break down those goals into realistic and achievable objectives. CMTC and Casey worked together to evaluate the company’s strengths, challenges, and growth opportunities; and in turn, were able to develop a roadmap for Powers Bros. Following their work with CMTC, Powers Bros. added three new jobs, saw an estimated $400,000 increase in sales, and realized $23,600 in cost savings. Additionally, the company saw a $60,000 return on investment and forecasts $100,000 in new investments. “My experiences with CMTC have always helped move our company forward - I really appreciate their programs,” Casey said.

In fact, research studies have revealed that 60% of Americans are willing to pay more for products made here at home. Harassment Avoidance Training
California State Bill (SB) 1343 mandates that all employers with five or more employees must provide Harassment Avoidance Training to fulfill all CA requirements. CMTC offers web-based ‘live’ sessions supporting State and Federal regulations and facilitated by a Harassment Avoidance trainer.
